Whether it’s your parents, your school counselor, admission counselors you connected with along the way, teachers who wrote your recommendations, a coach or someone you job shadowed with, they all played a role in your college search. Be sure to thank them and let them know where you decided to go.
…so they know you well enough to write a letter of rec that counts. Most counselors will only be able to schedule time to see you once or twice before your applications go out. If they don’t know you, they can’t write anything about you that really matters.
